Ken serves as president of Coleman Lew + Associates and has managed more than 300 search engagements throughout his 30 years as a search consultant. He has developed a nucleus of clients in education, retail, manufacturing, nonprofit, and government.
Ken graduated summa cum laude with a BA degree in accounting and business administration from Catawba College and earned an MBA from Wake Forest University. He began his career as an accountant with Duke Energy and later worked for a national insurance company before joining Coleman Lew in 1986.
Ken currently serves as Director on the Mecklenburg County ABC Board and on the Greenwood Genetic Center Foundation Board (formerly the SC Birth Defects Foundation). He recently served two terms as a member of the Americas Council Board of The Association of Executive Search and Leadership Consultants (AESC). Ken has been an active volunteer in service groups and youth sports associations in the Charlotte community. He is a past member of the Board of Directors of the Greater Carolinas’ Chapter of the American Red Cross and Covenant Day School. He and his wife have three children.
Ken, who played football (center) for Catawba College, is a true sports fan. His son played football at Washington and Lee University, and his daughter played on two state championship basketball teams in high school. His youngest daughter is a cheerleader and Special Olympics gymnast. Not that he’s a proud dad or anything.
When he’s not watching sports, he’s probably hunting, fishing, or reading books about solving crimes.
