Kenneth D Carrick (Ken) serves as president of Coleman Lew + Associates and has managed more than 200 search engagements throughout his 30 years as a search consultant. He has developed a nucleus of clients in education, retail, manufacturing, nonprofit, and government.
Ken graduated summa cum laude with a BA degree in accounting and business administration from Catawba College and earned an MBA from Wake Forest University. He began his career as an accountant with Duke Energy and later worked for a national insurance company before joining Coleman Lew in 1986.
Ken has long been an active volunteer in youth sports associations in the Charlotte community including Carolinas Exceptional Youth Athletes for special needs athletes. He serves on the Greenwood Genetic Center Foundation Board (formerly the SC Birth Defects Foundation) and just finished his second term as member of the Americas Council Board of the Association of Executive Search Consultants (AESC). He is a past member of the board of directors of the Greater Carolinas’ chapter of the American Red Cross and Covenant Day School. He and his wife have three children.
Ken, who played center for Catawba College, is a true sports fan. His son plays football at W&L, and his daughter played on two state championship basketball teams in high school. His youngest is a cheerleader and Special Olympics gymnast. Not that he’s a proud dad or anything.
When he’s not watching his kids play sports, he’s probably hunting or fishing.
